QuestionWhat do the functions waffle and juice on the controller do?

- Answer Juice makes the little bot return back to its charging station to 'juice' up. If you place the bot in a specific dirty area you want cleaned and press waffle, the bot will clean the area by going back and forth in a dimension of about 3ft by 3ft (so like the lines between the squares on a waffle).

QuestionHow does this perform on tassels/fringes on the edge of area rugs? Does it vacuum dry cat food? What happens if it encounters newspaper or cat poop (seriously) on the floor? I imagine it would push/spread/smudge the latter?

- Answer The Bobi works best on bare surfaces. Ours constantly gets hung up on our rugs which don't even have tassels. Yes, it will push/smear cat poop and vomit. Bobi is more of a maintenance vacuum cleaner and won't suck up large quantities, so if you have a pile of cat food I would use a traditional vacuum. The Bobi is great for getting underneath certain furniture, though.

QuestionDo this unit map out your rooms or wander aimlessly missing lots of areas? The one we have now misses so many areas & I have to end up vacuuming instead.

- Answer It misses a lot as soon as it senses the wall it turns around so we end up vacuuming too. I bought it on sale as a special buy of the day but wouldn’t buy it again.

- Answer The machine does make a little noise, however, it’s not loud. I like that I can hear it running because I keep my dogs out of the room it’s running in and I know when it’s done.

QuestionWow from $900 to $200. Can you say this works better than the original irobot? I've seen TVs and other electronics drop in price. After being on the market for a yr. But a $600-$700 drop in price! What's up with that?

QuestionI recently purchased another brand—however my carpet has a black border and the machine senses it as a ledge and will not go on it —manufacturer says this cannot be overridden. Does the bobsweep work on a black-bordered rug?

- Answer Mine has never had any issues with texture or color changes on the floor. The only thing the sensors react to are actual physical objects(a lamp or a staircase)
