• 1 TB of storage is about 160 hours of HD. In my experience HD television uses between 1 - 3 GB per show. 4K shows are generally streamed. When 4K is offered by cable you can get an expansion drive that plugs into an eSATA port on the unit.

• The TIVO website will tell you. I am at 32% with 65 HD shows saved. The 1 TB BOLT is adequate. If I wanted to add more I would get an external hard drive or send it off to weaknees for an upgrade. Most everything I want to save I use my desktop PC (except copy protected shows - about 2% of the shows, and HBO).
