• Steve, 1 year service is NO LONGER INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF THE UNIT. I bought and set up on 8/8/16 and the box says service subscription sold separately. Went online and found this: http://zatznotfunny.com/2016-04/tivo-bolt-service/ Very misleading!

• Some versions do some dont.. this one doesnt seem to come with it because its not mentioned that it does..

• Bruce, there's nothing misleading about it. It used to include a year of service, then they dropped the price and don't include the year. I bought one a month before they switched, and didn't activate it until last week, and it correctly gave me my year.

• Yes, the Tivo does come with a 1 yr subscription.
