well we pay for huluplus, Netflix, azprime. not showtime or HBOGO. plus broadband. so there's no escaping the broadband duopoly. competition leads to coke/pepsi, or comcast/verzn, not efficient markets.

Please try again later.tivo bolt requires cable subscription and compatible cable card, it essentially replaces the need for the cable companies DVR which can save money by not needing to pay that monthly fee, however tivo charges a fee as well but usually at a lower cost for a better performing DVR, you can also add tivo minis for other tv;s for whole home with no monthly subscription for those, where cable charges for every box each month, the tivo roamio can use over the air antenna but that will only get broadcast networks,
