I don' t know about TDS cable, ask them, you'll have to have your cable company help to get a card to make it work. It works with my Spectrum cable. You can record anything, but to watch your Tivo output on a different TV in your house, you'll have to buy a Tivo Mini or Tivo Mini Vox. I'm not sure about which one you will have to buy but the Best Buy people will know the answer. You can find the Mini sometimes used... but make sure it's a recent model.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can’t answer specifically about TDS Cable, but I can say that if they can provide a Cable Card, it should work fine. In order to watch TiVo recorded shows on a different TV set, you will need either another TiVo bolt, or a TiVo Bolt Mini. The Tivo units talk to each other thru your local area network. If you use 2 TiVo Bolts that can both record, you can connect from one to another to watch what the other records. TiVo Mini can only play content, live or recorded, from its respective Tivo Bolt. I hope this helps.
