TiVo uses your cablecard and you can pay a one time fee or a monthly fee of $15 but if you want to cancel you have to pay a $75 penalty.

Yes. You hook your cox cable to TiVo box and get a cable card from the cable company. You will need to pay he monthly or one time fee to TiVo and then you get Your guide and record shows just like any dvr
