Kasey, The TiVo Bolt doesn’t pick up a over the air tv. I ended up keeping my X1 DVR. My Bolt kept pixilating and this was after 2 going thru 2 Bolt units and Comcast service call. TiVo’s customer service is terrible!

That being said... the term dumping cable (or cutting the cord) can be a little misleading. As long as you are aware that cable to your house not only provides your home with TV and related other program channels... it also provides you with internet access. If you truly dump / cut all cable service then you also loose the internet as well. Without the internet you will loose any smart features / menus that are included with your smart TV or DVD or even this device. To clarify, dumping / cutting your "TV service" might be a more accurate way to say it versus dumping / cutting your cable. Currently the Tivo fee is $15 per month but they have once a year and lifetime plans as well.
