“Can the controls program the start of the machine with the door open? Due to granite counter tops, I cannot access the top of the door controls with out the door open.”

• Actutally, you can only operate the controls with the door open! They are not accessible when the door is closed, granite counter tops, or no!

• I have granite also. You can reach your finger under granite and press the Stop/Start button. I asked the same question at Best Buy.

• Hi there, thank you for your question. Yes, you can hit start and when the door shuts, the cycle will start. Also, to let you know the cycle started, the info-light will shine onto the floor and will turn off when the cycle is completed.

• no -- it closes with the controls inside -- you must open it to operate it.
