Hi TJ, thank you for your question and interest in Model:SHXM4AY55N. The middle rack in the Dishwasher has RackMatic® which offers 3 height levels, for 9 possible rack positions. Lower to fit tall glasses above. Raise to fit tall pots below. It also has a 3rd rack which adds versatility and offers 30% more loading area.

The middle and bottom rack have all kinds of adjustments that you can do depending on what dishes you're putting in there. We've had it for a little over a month. My wife did all the research and this was ranked #3 out of 100 dishwashers by consumer electronics. Definitely worth it for the price point. We're very happy.
