- Answer Hi guiltydevil, thank you for your question and interest in Model:SHXM4AY55N. The Sanitize Option* Increases the temperatures and retains them for an extra long time to obtain a defined disinfecting performance. Continuous use of this function increases the hygiene status. This additional option is ideal for cleaning items such as chopping boards and baby bottles. Using the Sanitize option may also improve drying. The cycle time and energy usage may be increased.

QuestionThis dishwasher is due to be delivered Thursday. I am concerned that my hot water will not be hot enough. Will this affect the performance of the machine. I was thinking maybe I should order a dishwasher that heats the water.

QuestionWe just received the SHZM4AY55N BOSCH 100 Series in stainless Steel and as far as I know Stainless steel is not magnetic. Why are magnets sticking to my door?

- Answer Stainless is not appropriate for every part. Bosch picked the best material for the application for each part.

QuestionDouse the heating elementless drying system actually work, AKA condensation drying. I've heard all the benefits, that is if it works, so douse It work and am I going to be satisfied. Im replacing my LG dishwasher that work efficiently for 8 years.

- Answer I returned this model because the dishes came out soaking wet. Get the Whirlpool Model WDT750SAKZ0 instead. Best Buy exchanged the Bosch for that one for me and I love it. Same features--better machine.

- Answer There is a Bosch hardwire kit available to let you hard wire it, I hardwired mine. The kit came with it from Best Buy when I bought mine for free, just make sure it’s included.

QuestionWe have had 2 Bosch dishwashers and just bought a 3rd. The problem we are having is the door doesn't open up flat, but still slopes. Is this normal? I don't want to force it, but I feel it's not all the way open.

- Answer Hi Ann, thank you for your question and interest in Model:SHXM4AY55N. It is not recommended to use liquid dishwashing detergent in our dishwashers. Per the Use and Care Manual: Use only detergent specifically designed for dishwashers. For best results, use fresh powdered dishwashing detergent or detergent tabs. We recommend Finish Quantum Tablets.

- Answer Hi NSCOTT, thank you for your question and interest in Model:SHXM4AY54N. Per the Specifications, the required cutout size is (HxWxD) (in) 33 7/8" x 24" x 24". We do have an ADA Compatible model, Model: SGX78B55UC that is 32 1/16" in height that can be raised to 34 inches that would work in your space, however it is available in stainless steel, not the black stainless steel.
