very easy to access. on the bottom of the tub, two black triangle mark how to lock it in. Turn, take out, rinse, put back in, done.

yes. there is a filter in the floor of the machine. you twist a knob to remove and clean it. no tools needed.

Hi Mo. Thank you for your question. Yes, the triple filtration system on the Bosch is easily accessed for ease of cleaning. Here are the steps to follow: 1.Unscrew the Large Object Trap as illustrated and remove the entire filter system. 2. Remove any residue and clean filters by rinsing under running water. Note: do not use abrasive brushes or steel wool, etc., as they may damage the filter.3.Reinstall the filter system in reverse sequence and lock into place by screwing the Large Object Trap until the marking arrows align.
