Hi Jack, thank you for your question regarding Model:SHEM63W52N. Per the Use and Care Manual: To deactivate the panel lock hold down the button that says ‘Child Lock’ underneath it for approximately 3 seconds until the display no longer reads 'CL'. The panel lock is deactivated
automatically when the wash cycle is completed. In case of a power outage the panel lock will remain active. The panel lock has to be activated with each new wash cycle. If you are still experiencing a problem, please reach out to our Customer Support Team at 1-800-944-2904 for help.
