Hi Drying. Thank you for your question. Drying results can be affected by many factors including water hardness, the amount of plastic items in the load, the amount of edges, depressions, or lips on the dishware, use or non-use of suggested rinse aid, pre-rinsing of dishes, cycle selection, loading, etc. Following are suggestions for improving drying in dishwashers. 1.For all dishwashers, to achieve best drying results, always use a liquid rinse aid, even if your detergent contains a rinse aid or drying additive. Use of rinse aid causes sheeting action on dishware and top & sides of tub. 2. For best dishwashing results, observe the following when loading the dishwasher: ■ Do not pre-wash items with loosely attached food soil. Simply scrap off larger food items into trash and place soiled dishware into racks. See Use & Care Guide for loading suggestions. 3. With any dishwasher, when unloading the dishwasher, to prevent water from dripping onto dry dishes, unload the lower rack first. 4. Consider using Sanitize * option - Increases the temperatures and retains them for an extra long time to obtain a defined disinfecting performance. Continuous use of this function increases the hygiene status.

All the higher-end Bosch models have fancier drying systems - that probably work better than this one. but it does get the job done once you open it up for a bit.

My spouse and I want to minimize how many chemicals we're putting into our bodies on a regular basis, even in diluted form, and we don't want to add "rinse" to the mix. So we went looking for a better solution and you'll likely be happy to hear that we found it: The "Crystal Dry" feature in your most expensive model. It works brilliantly, just as promised, and eliminates the need for rinse entirely. The dishes come out as dry or even dryer than they did with our older model dishwashers with that red hot coil in the bottom of the unit. I've become a BIG enthusiast for Crystal Dry; it was the "missing link" keeping your excellent line of dishwashers from "perfection." Now, you've gotten there. (And with Crystal Dry you can essentially jettison all of the standard recommendations you've given me for drying the dishes. It solves that issue completely. Thanks again for your response and your help.
