My previous dishwasher was a Whirlpool model that was supposed to be quiet. It wasn't. We usually only ran it at night when we slept. It did a good job with cleaning dishes and lasted 18 years so I can't complain. I heard Bosch was a really good brand so I read the reviews on several models and ended up taking a chance on this newer upgraded dishwasher that didn't have any reviews, but had nicer features including a stainless steel tub and an additional top rack that works great for serving utensils and plastic container tops. I'm pleased with how quiet it is and roomy it is compared to my old dishwasher that had an annoying pole in the bottom that got in the way of larger plates. There is a red light that shines on the floor when the dishwasher is on which I read annoyed some reviewers, but I actually like. My family often would open our old dishwasher when it was running so this helps to indicate that it's on. The only complaint I have is that the door doesn't open smoothly. It sticks and I have to yank on it a little to open it.

We bought the dishwasher back in November so it’s been almost 6 months of a trial. The dishwasher looks nice and matches the other non Bosch stainless. The dishwasher has a ton of room. The top shelf is a hidden miracle and the adjustable height on the second shelf comes in slightly behind. The dishwasher cleans great as long as the bowls aren’t too close together. This could also be due to the geometry of our dishes but that’s all I have to test with. It’s rated as great for drying plastic even though it doesn’t use heat, I would rate it a 6.5/10.

No Heating Element to dry your dishes!

This wasn't exactly the model I was looking for, but Best Buy was offering free installation, so I caved in and made the purchase. Well Bosch is truly one of the leaders when it comes to kitchen appliances. This machine is quiet, smooth, and efficient!
The buttons are on the top surface of the door so they're not accessible once the machine is on. A red light shines on the floor to indicate that the machine is running.
If you're looking for a new dishwasher, a stainless steel tub is superior to that of a plastic tub, but you'll also be paying for it. The only other option is whether you have a bar handle or not. The bar is the premium, otherwise you will most likely have a handle carved out in the door.
The only other notable really is that this model does not come with a heating element to dry your dishes, rather the machine uses the natural heat from the wash load to dry the dishes and leave them spotless. However, this means that you have about a 90-120 minute from when the cycle ends to remove the dishes. Once the tub begins to cool, the moisture will recondense back to H2O, and your load will be wet again. This is a huge inconvenience as you will not be able to run the dishwasher before going to bed and emptying the dishwasher in the morning.
Lastly, rinsing or soaking the dishes before loading and washing ensure a cleaner load (I've let it sit in the dishwasher for 2 days and there was some really caked on stuff that was still a tad stubborn after the wash).
Overall, the lack of a heating element was kind of a bummer, but otherwise, I'm happy with the features and performance of this machine. I'd recommend the Bosch line in general as they are solid machines, but I don't know if I'd recommend this particular model as the heating element is a bummer.

Happy with the washer. The third rack does surprisingly well with the silverware and often eliminates the need for the basket which gives you more room on the lower racks. The tines that raise and lower don’t really add much flexibility, not sure what the point of those are. I can’t wash my hour-glass-shaped coffee carafe in the washer because it won’t fit anywhere, but most other items can be accommodated. It does a relatively good job of drying on the high heat mode, but not everything will dry completely. Most plastics, of course, will still have to be towel dried. The best thing about the washer is its cleaning ability. We’re admittedly no very tough on the washer (we scrape everything) but all items come out sparkling clean, even big spoons laid flat in the 3rd rack. The little red light on the floor to indicate that the machine is running is handy so that you know when a cycle is finished. The machine is quiet, too. I mean, you can hear it, but the noise quickly disappears into the background. I love the clean aesthetics. No visible controls, clean lines and no gaudy branding. If you want a dishwasher that is quiet, sharp looking, and leaves things sparkling clean, this is a good choice.

This is our third Bosch dishwasher and it is as good as the other two. The main difference with the newer models is that they have become a little more complicated with the settings, so you have to read the manual to get it to do what you want it to, but it still cleans dishes exceptionally well and is so quiet they added a small light that projects on the floor telling you when it's on. We also like the third tray at the top for large knives and the like.

No, it does not talk of tell you to dim the lights. It does handle big loads, cleans the dishes, bowls, pots, glasses, knives and cutlery in an exemplary way, and dries them spotlessly, as it should, but it also does so virtually in silence. So silently in fact that it has a red light that shines on the floor to tell you it is running. We are extremely happy with it in the two weeks since it was installed. Oh, by the way, the Pacific Sales (Best Buy) price was also the best we found, and include extras that we had not anticipated based on visits to other sellers.

This is a great kitchen appliance. It's so quiet that when it's in operation, all you hear is the water running and moving about. Cleans the dishes thoroughly. Has a convenient top rack that holds utensils that would not normally stay in the utensil racks of other models. I would gladly recommend this item to a friend.

I feel that this is the best dishwasher that I have ever owned. I like the third tray very much for silverware and small items. But how clean the dishes come out was the biggest surprise. It was very obvious on my white Corning ware. I also like that it has a rinse cycle. Highly recommended.

Fairly easy to install. Ridiculously quiet. I love the little red led light that shines on floor to show you the dishwasher is on.
I took a star off because I did have to buy parts that should have come standard with a dishwasher st this price range.

Loving this super quiet and very effective dishwasher. Excellent third rack, other racks adjustable. Easy controls, great handle on the front for my dishtowel! We read all ratings and reviews and this one was consistently at the top of all lists as best overall for the money - and it is quite reasonable for a machine of this performance. We had to wait a few weeks - but totally worth it. Would buy again.

So far it’s pretty good. A little confusing when you press the wrong buttons but I think we figured it out. The dishwasher washes well. I love the third/top rack. As other review said, it does smell weird. The dishwasher itself. Like chemical smell and hasn’t gone away. So other reviews were accurate on that front.

The old Bosch died beyond value of repairing after 13 years. Decided we would get a Bosch again. This one is also quiet, easy to operate. We don't really use the third rack on top, but it can come in handy at times. We do a basic rinse before loading the plates. results have been very good, with clean dishes and cutlery.

I've has this dishwasher for a month, and have no problems or complaints. It's really, really, quiet, has tons of space, and does a great job cleaning my dishes. I use the EXTRA DRY setting because I like my dishes completely dry. Make sure you use the JetDry with it as well for MUCH better drying results.

Maybe my expectations were too high, but I thought the "top name in dishwashers" and the higher price would get me something special. I do like the third rack, and the machine is very quiet. But the layout doesn't accommodate our cereal/soup bowls as well as our old LG did; water still collects on top of our coffee mugs; and the silverware retains spots if we use the basket rather than the third rack. (We wait until the dishwasher is full to run it, so we only run it every three-four days and always use the Heavy cycle.) So maybe if we had spent even more and got some of the extra features, the dishwasher would work better for us, but otherwise I don't think an exceptional rating is warranted for this model and I'm not yet sure it was the best buy for my money. But it IS quiet.

I purchased this Bosch to replace another Bosch that finally bit the dust after 16 years. I am impressed so far with the cleaning efficiency. It has the steel tub and a straight forward set of capabilities. There are not so many you are overwhelmed and beside how many of us ever use more than 2-3 options. Finally, I love how quiet it is. If I am more than 5-6 feet from it I cannot hear it. Oh, and I love the little red status light that shines on the floor to let you know if it is paused (blinking), running (solid red) or finished (no light).

I love my dishwasher! Not only is it visually beautiful, but it’s also highly efficient. It has a third rack, which I love. You can put all of your cooking utensils in it, and they lay flat, which gets them cleaner than when they’re all mixed in with the glasses and such on the upper rack.
I really love the fact that it’s got a stainless steel tub. There’s no odor and it’s sparkling clean inside there.

I replaced an old and very noisy dishwasher with this. I needed one that was quiet because I have an open kitchen in a small living space. This one is so quiet I have to check the light that is projected on the floor to show you it's on. The dishes come out very clean and there are all sorts of ways to load it. Love the handle that you can hang a towel on. Couldn't be more satisfied.
