• I just got the answer from Bosch: No. You have to go online to set a delayed start, after you've just loaded the dishwasher and put the soap in. It's nuts. Why would anyone want that?

• Not presently. Some of the features are locked behind an app. There is also a requirement for a cloud account. This means there is a possibility that there will be a monthly fee to use these features or the server will be shut down, disabling them. This also means that you have to trust Bosch to have created a secure device, as insecure IOT devices are often used to gain access to people's home network.
