I just got the answer from Bosch: No.  You have to go online to set a delayed start, after you've just loaded the dishwasher and put the soap in. It's nuts. Why would anyone want that?

Not presently.

Some of the features are locked behind an app. There is also a requirement for a cloud account.

This means there is a possibility that there will be a monthly fee to use these features or the server will be shut down, disabling them.

This also means that you have to trust Bosch to have created a secure device, as insecure IOT devices are often used to gain access to people's home network.

But there may be a way with the Home Connect app.  I just connected, So still learning.
