“Does the oven have a digital temperature read out? For instance as it heats does it display the internal oven temperature using numbers? My prior Bosch oven displayed red bars.”

Hi Bigbadchester, thanks for your question and interest in model # HBL57M52UC. During the preheating process, the display will indicate "preheating". To modify the oven temperature, select either the Upper or Lower oven. Subsequently, the current oven temperature will begin to flash, at which point you can adjust the temperature using the "+" or "-" buttons to set the desired temperature.
