- Answer It says 32inches but adjust to 34+ if needed. My opening was 34 inches as well and fits really good.

QuestionI live in New York City. I had never heard of water softener before the red light on this dishwasher asked me to add it. It doesn't seem to be available in stores, and I can only find it on Amazon. Is this a regional requirement? Works fine without it.

- Answer Hi Snow. Thank you for your question. You do not have to use the water softener in your dishwasher. However, if you do, you do have to use water softener for dishwashers.

QuestionDo I HAVE to hook up the water to the Hot water connection or can I hook up to the cold water connection? ( Does the dishwasher heat it's own water?) Currently, I do not have a water heater at this location and wondering if I need to buy a water heater?

QuestionHow deep are the racks? My current Kenmore has an inadequate 14 inch deep top rack and 18 inch bottom rack. My old dishwasher had longer racks.

- Answer Two main racks are 20 inches deep. The 3rd rack up top for utensils,etc is 18 inches deep
