The panel is attached by screws on far sides of door. If your panels each are full width, then screws can be screwed in, even if you need to add a couple of holes. If they don't reach edges to the left and right, you could buy a thin piece of plywood, cut to full front door measurements and attach to plywood first. If you do this, you may need to move dishwasher further back by the width of plywood. Would suggest thinnest plywood if you need to go this route. Always make sense if you are not handy with wood to have a knowledgeable person look at for you.

They cover width (up to 24 inches), thickness (3/4 inch) and weight which varies depending upon the panel. The dishwasher is configured to accept panels weighing from 11 to 18 pounds, but if you have a heavier panel, you can check with Bosch to find out how the dishwasher can accommodate a panel up to 24 pounds.
