• Hi there, thank you for your question. This dishwasher is not smudge proof so minimal finger prints and or smudges may appear.

• It is better than my Whirlpool refrigerator because the metal is slightly shinier which helps with the illusion that their are no finger prints.

• The dishwasher does smudge a little and is definitely not fingerprint proof, maybe a little smudge resistent. However fory the money, I can live with it. The quietness outweighs the fingerprint issue. Now, if you have small kids, which I don't, it may be a little different.
