I don’t know how crystal dry works, but it really does. Our dishes are dryer than they’ve been with any other dishwasher we’ve had.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We are very impressed with how dry the dishes are post cycle. Although we usually wash overnight and empty in the morning. A few times I have emptied while the dishes were still warm, but they were still dry. The minimalist instructions describe “CrystalDry” as “zeolite technology”, so elves with leaf blowers?

Patented CrystalDry technology transforms moisture into heat to dry dishes, including plastics, 60% drier. After the final rinse cycle, an additional step utilizes Zeolite, a naturally occurring mineral that generates heat, up to 176 degrees, when in contact with moisture. A fan then circulates the heat generated from Zeolite through a vent in the base of the tub, eliminating moisture for gentle drying and reducing the need to towel or air-dry items after the cycle is finished. The Zeolite technology then recharges itself during the next wash cycle, so it never needs to be replaced and is ready to give the same excellent drying performance the next time you run the dishwasher.
