- Answer Yes. It's not a custom panel but a pre-ordered one. There are four colors to choose from ( Black, Black Stainless, Stainless, White). We chose White.

- Answer Delayed start will not be available as you can only access that feature via the app. Otherwise, you must start the machine immediately. I miss being able to do everything from the control panel. It’s a huge miss by Bosch.

- Answer Hi Sailor, thanks for your question. In areas were you experience hard water we recommend using either a home water softening system, or an appliance with a built-in water softening system, and the appropriate softening salt. Unfortunately the SHP78CM5N does not feature such a system built in.

QuestionIs there a way to stop the beeping when you close the door? I noticed it does it when the power is on and ready to start, but sometimes I am not ready to start the load and the beeping is so loud every time you open and close the door to put more stuff in

- Answer Hello, thank you for your question. An elbow connection with 3/4" female hose threads on one end, which fits your water supply line on the other is the requirement. Our installation manuals do not specify what material must be used. Thank you!

- Answer Hi Gary, thanks for your question. The parts needed for installation are as follows: 1) Elbow connection with 3/4" female hose threads on one end, fits your water supply line on the other. 2) Water inlet hose - minimum 3/8" outer diameter copper tubing or metal braided dishwasher supply line. * Both the elbow and the water inlet hose can be found in the dishwasher supply kit SMZSH1ABUC available on Bosch's website. 3) Shut-off valve and fittings appropriate for the hot water supply line. QuestionDid Bosch fix the lower rack issue? I purchased a Bosch about three years ago, and the bottom rack, when it is full slides off the runners and gets stuck. I have to lift it out, reset it on the rails, and try again; it is frustrating.

- Answer this issue is not limited to the run in 2020 as suggested by a prior answer...we bought a Bosch in 2015 and have been fighting with the bottom rack issue for over two years...our dishes are heavy (Fiesta) and the wheels slip off the rim so easily, Infuriating. Bosch rates so high overall, but we'll never buy another one.
