• A:Answer Hi Pat. Thank you for your question. For Model:HGI8054UC Bosch strongly recommends the installation of a ventilation hood above this range. For most kitchens, a certified hood rating of not less than 300 CFM is recommended. The range hood must be installed according to instructions furnished with the hood. Ventilation rids the area of heat, odor, grease and steam.

Q: QuestionThere are spaces between the range and the countertop at the right and left corners in the back of the range, is this normal. It looks very unfinished. Is this normal?

• A:Answer Hi Momy. Thank you for your question. Yes, this is normal to have the two small spaces at the back of the range on either side of the cooling vent. If you would like, you can order covers for those, Part # 00634736, Corner cover kit, gas SIR.

Q: Questionwhat is the width of the range for between cabinets? It says width is 31.5' does this include the lips on each side and the width is 30" or do I need to leave 31.5" between my cabinets?

• A:Answer Hi Zola. Thank you for your question. The cutout width is 30". The overall appliance width is 31 1/2" which allows the range to slide over the countertop and prevent spillage down the side of the range.
