• A:Answer Hi Jef, thank you for your question and interest in Model:HGI8056UC. No, the gas only flows without a flame for a few seconds. However, once the burner is turned off, during a power outage you would be able to light with a match.

• A:Answer HI there. Thank you for your question. If you are referring to the 800 Series Gas Slide-in Range, it is normal for the fan to run in certain circumstances. The convection fan will run while the oven is preheating for the bake mode. Slide-in models also have a cooling fan that runs during every cooking mode. It is normal to see or feel steam or warm air escaping from the oven vent. Do not block the vent. When the oven has cooled to a pre-determined temperature, the cooling fan turns off.

Q: QuestionIs it correct that if my counter top height is 35.5" that I will have to have someone cut my granite at an angle at either side in order to allow the "ears" of the range to slide over the counter top? My cut out width is 30". The range is 36.5" high!

Q: QuestionI also have a brand new Bosch 800 slide-in gas range, which I love except that the fan is inordinately noisy and annoying, because it seems to oscillate in speed. It lasts about 15 min. before shutting off. Technician couldn't do anything. What to dp?

• A:Answer I had the same problem but Bosch had their engineers come up with a fix. Call Bosch and they can fix it, service tech put a new motor and bracket in. Works like it should now!
