• Get the Bose VCS 10. It sounds great and is low profile, so it doesn't detract from the tv, which is what you should be looking at.

• I would look at definative technology. The have two sizes, one for a mid size room and one for a bigger set up. I think it's called a procenter. I paid around 250 for mine. They also have really serious center speakers that are in the 600-750 price range. Worth a look at

• My parents (who have 301s front and rear) went with a Polk center channel. It blends fairly well with the 301s, since the Bose center would not fit in the space available, nor did it sound correct with 301s.

• Thanks for your interest. Bose does not make a standalone center channel speaker. A third party center channel speaker which meets your receiver’s specifications would certainly work, however.
