Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, the Acoustimass 6 Series V Home Theater Speaker System can absolutely be connected to preinstalled speaker wiring. However, we'd recommend the following adapter kit: http://bit.ly/2zpSB7G . You may also want to consider the WB-50 or WB-20 II wall brackets for the speakers. Other than a home-theater receiver that provides 10-150 W per channel, 4-8 ohms, you shouldn't need anything else! We hope this helps!
