would this speaker work with a ps3 null

While the Sony Playstation 3 is capable of connecting some accessories via Bluetooth, the Soundlink® Wireless Mobile Speaker is not compatible. The PS3 generally uses a Bluetooth connection for microphones, keyboards and other input devices. Your game system will not send audio back out from the PS3 to the speaker however, as it can only output via HDMI, Optical, or A/V connectors. Note: Our current Bluetooth headset IS compatible with the Playstation 3 for use as a microphone. Thanks for the question.

This will work with any bluetooth enabled device.
