The array speakers of the Bose Companion 5 Multimedia system are pre-mounted on stands to deliver accurate, high-quality audio that will surround you with sound. The stands position the speaker for optimal performance. As such, the stands are not detachable from the speaker. Thank you for your interest in the product.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. They can be removed from the stands. There is one screw that attaches the speaker to the stand. The cable runs through the stand arm and can be unthreaded or rethreaded if you decide to use the stands again in the future. I recently took my speakers off the stands to work better on a smaller desktop surface. They sit on the desk surface in the space between the desk and the monitor. Otherwise I would of had to have the speakers sit behind my monitor and not enjoy a direct audio experience. No worries, use your Phillips/star screwdriver and you'll be done in 2-3 minutes. Cheers!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes obviously it dows.....
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, I believe it would take about 5 minutes, to take out the 1 screw that binds the speaker to the stand. The cord runs up the stand, but it looks like you could just remove this 1 screw, take out the cord, and forget the stand if you wanted. Probably best to email bose if you're really concerned about it. Also, the speakers are slightly angled up on the stands, so they are slightly tilted vertically. May come into play if you just set them on a shelf or something.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, they are not.
