I just love this sound system. The sound quality is amazing. You can go really loud or just a little quiet. I definitely recommend them to anyone. Worth the price!

Excellent sounding speakers. sub woofer is clean and precise, not overbearing and is adjustable. Windows 7 finds drivers for it fast and love that it is usb. Another great feature is the adjustable rotary dial for volume and touch to mute. Awesome product.

These speakers met my expectations and more. The sound quality is nice and super clear. No distortion no matter how loud you turn it and they get extremely loud. Easy to install. They look really nice and they're not too big either. Nice and heavy speakers not cheaply made. The only flaw is not being able to turn up and down the bass without reaching behind the subwoofer but for me it's not that big of a deal but for some it may be.

I took a long time trying to decide which 2.1 speakers to get for my home office. I listened to a bunch of them in the store and they just all didn't seem to sound that great, although I don't know how much the setting affected it. BB didn't have these speakers set up in any of their stores so I had to take a chance. Most audiophiles seem to strongly recommend not getting Bose. I took a chance and love the speakers. They have a nice rich sound with plenty of volume for my home office. The only downside is that the cables are a finite length and have proprietary connections, so depending on your set up might not be long enough.

Great sound. Easy setup out of box. Spares computer resources by providing its own audio processing though this requires the use of one computer USB port it is a great approach making it easy to drive from more than one computer (at one time). Excellent single on/off and volume control that easily parks on desk in front of monitor for comfortable access.

These speakers have excellent sound. They are very easy to connect and setup. It just requires one USB port on your computer. This is the perfect solution for someone who doesn't want to mess around with a sound card but wants really great audio. These little speakers have a lot more power than you would expect from the size. You pay a premium price because it is a Bose product but you get the sound you would expect from Bose.

The sound quality of this Bose system is incredible! Videos, Skyping, internet music, everything sounds better than I ever heard it at my desk. Set-up was extraordinarily simple, and the quality of the product is immediately apparent.

Let's face it Bose makes amazing home theater speakers so why wouldn't you want to have the same quality sound when it comes to your computer?! I have the older model at home and I use them to play my music for parties or for every day use. I bought these for work. We do a lot of professional video editing for web & TV. These speakers are amazing! You'll love them. Super easy to install and I love the desk volume control knobby that has a jack in case you need to plug in headphones. Check these out... you won't be dissapointed.

What can I say. These small speakers pack the punch that you would expect from bose. Rich deep base, piercing treble and an overall sound that makes you feel like you are part of the music. This purchase was well worth the money.

I bought these to replace my Comapnion 3 that I have had for 6 or 7 years. These are simply the best speakers if you know what you're buying. Build quality is unmatched, footprint is convenient and acoustic depth impressive. If you are looking for the hardest hitting bass at high volume look elsewhere. If you want the best sound possible then go with a good sound card, receiver and monitors + sub. In comparison to the Companion 3 the mids and highs are a good bit more robust and bass is the same intensity; overall balance is superior to the C3 system. The surround sound is impressive and accurate. Where these speakers are unique is that they provide rich sound even at low volumes which competitors in this class cannot match. Corsair, Klipsch and Creative may have a stronger sub but they are historically unbalanced when playing at low volumes. These speakers only compete if you are sitting in their intended field of sound; stepping outside the intended field degrades the robustness exponentially. This is important because if you want something that sounds amazing as you move about your home that isn't what these are intended for and they fall flat. These speakers connect via USB so they negate the need/benefit of a good sound-card as the signal processing and amplification all takes place onboard the acoustimass module. An unintended benefit of the Bose design is that the speakers can't suicide themselves by blowing. If they exceed their design the frequency is scaled back. If you're looking for robust and balanced sound at a "normal" volume while sitting in front of a computer without any additional hardware these speakers are unmatched. If you want brute force at high volumes that produces bass heavy tones and you couldn't care less for 5.1 surround, then these speakers will let you down for the money.

I bought these as computer speakers for listening to music. The music I listen to has pretty heavy bass, and they take it like a champ. Even at higher volumes there is no degradation of sound quality.

These speakers are amazing and sound great, but its a bit expensive. If you can afford it it is a great chose for anything you are watching whether its movies or youtube.

This 3 piece system is fantastic for a desktop, laptop or to just fill a room. The sound is clear and the subwoofer gives those deep lows. Looks and sounds great.

My gaming sessions last hours. I play on a high end Alienware 17 Laptop. I have been using Sennheiser headphones which are excellent, but I reached the point where I just got tired with the drill of wearing them, and the games I usually play (Skyrim, Witcher, etc.) are not multi-player so I rarely need a mic. I did my on line research and visited the Best Buy staff and chatted with a solid staffer. After watching the in store demo, and doing more on line research, I liked the Bose Companion 5 setup as it offered a separate base. The space needs are perfect. The two speakers on the desk take up little room, and the base fits fine under my desk. On/off and volume are controlled via a super neat small control that you can tuck away anywhere on your desk. Although my headphones have superb sound, the Bose system rocks. I never knew what I was missing. The wonderful base really adds to the game play. Assembly was easy. The components are surprisingly heavy and they feel that they will last forever. I also play music of all types on the laptop, and the Bose System handles music beautifully. Although not cheap, I am very satisfied with the quality and performance. I think this is an example of getting what you pay for.

I PURCHASED THE BOSE COMPANION 5 TWO MONTHS AGO AND I'M VERY HAPPY WITH THE SOUND QUALITY. THE SOUND IS VERY CLEAR, BASE IT DEEP, HIGH NOTES ARE SUPERIOR TO MY OTHER SOUND SYSTEM. AFTER ADDING THE BOSE SYSTEM THROUGH DEVICE AND SET UP IT WAS READY TO PLAY. AESTHETICALLY PLEASING AS WELL. JUST WISH THERE WAS A REMOTE THAT CAME WITH IT.
