Yep. Just set the default audio out on your laptop to USB or it'll try to route the audio out the HDMI cable. Lol, you can also have a control hub aux headphone jack analog audio source playing alongside a digital source with no interference at all. Pretty freaking rare for any audio system to be able to play two sources at the same time without massive loss of quality. :) I have my laptop USB and my TV analog out running simultaneously quite a bit actually.
