That’s the whole point. You can hear the tv without blaring if uncomfortably with people who can hear. Not that this is scientific, but without them on I will listen to tv at 35-40. When I wear them, it’s at 19-24. My gf asks me to turn it up!

If you have a samsung smart t.v. with smart things technology and the app installed on your phone as well you will be able to actually stream the audio to your phone thus to your headphones allowing you to hear the audio with out affecting the sound of the listeners in the room.
