    Seems to help with conversations

I have used the hear phones for about two weeks. I think I will have a better idea after more time. Pros: I can hear conversation in noisy environments somewhat better. The ability to focus my hearing to the people in front of me seems to be an important feature. rBattery life is good enough and charging is fairly quick. I really enjoy listening to music from my phone now, very good stereo separation. They are much cheaper than the hearing aids have tried, although I don’t know that sounds are as natural. Cons: None of the earbuds are a very good fit. If I hold the earbuds in my ear the sound is clearer. By themselves the air buds don’t seem to connect with the ear canal well. It seems to only grossly adjust treble and bass frequencies. I will continue to look for a set with more frequency flexibility. Sound is not “natural“ seeming, although after a while I stop noticing that. Adjusting sounds with the buttons is difficult so far, the buttons are small. The power connection in the headset seems flimsy: I expect the cover to pull off and worry about bending the USB connection when I plug in the cable. We will see about this part. Overall I’m happy with that purchase

    The Best Hearing Aid

I have little to no high frequency hearing ability. I have trouble hearing dialogue at movie theaters, television at home and sorting out conversations at noisy restaurants. I have tried behind the ear and in the ear hearing aids in the past and either found they were uncomfortable or just didn’t work well. I choose the Bose Hearphones as a last resort. In short, the best decision I’ve made to restore my hearing in the aforementioned situations. In the movie theater, I not only hear every word but it sounds as if I’m listening to my own private high fidelity movie track. At home, I would normally have the tv volume up to 30+ and the rest of my family would complain. They wanted the volume set around 14. With the Bose Hearphones I now can hear perfectly even at a volume below 14. The app is incredible and allows you to personalize every environment. The background noise in crowded restaurants actually disappears to a level which allows me to hear table discussions. Not only would I recommend this product but I actually did that earlier to to an old friend of mine. One more feature that I love is that when I leave the situation where I need hearing support I can easily take the buds out my ear and they just drop over my shoulders until I need them again. Quick charging and long lasting charge is fantastic. Please try these. You can thank me later. AND no I don’t work nor am paid by Bose :) but I do love their products!

I have been avoiding people right and left since I broke my hearing aids and cannot afford new ones at $6000 per pair. So, I bought a set of Bose Hearphones and have been so happy. I can now hear people when they are speaking to me without having to ask everybody to repeat things a thousand times. The only thing I can say negative about them is the right ear bud doesn't fit perfectly like the left. But, it really doesn't bother me all that much. I am just happy to be finally hearing people and can once again join in conversations. Thank you Bose for this great product!!

Quieter to me than QC35-1, noisier for callers

It is hard to imagine any better noise cancellation or isolation for the wearer. And the directional microphone feature is magical, quite frankly. I tested these while at the airport where there was a family with a large number of small children behind me and a guy flirting with a couple of women in front of me. When I activated maximum noise cancellation everything was pretty quiet and muffled. When I started mixing in all the sounds around me I was astonished at the additional clarity these headphones added - and it was very noisy where I was sitting. Even more impressive was when I activated the setting to ignore voices behind me. In this mode the conversation of those in front of me we clear, and I couldn’t hear the family behind me anymore. And when I activated the very focused mode, I could hear the responses of the women, but could barely hear the guy’s questions. Magical (with eye rolls). When my wife called, she could literally hear everything and there was not a thing I could do about it. Bose says if you want to isolate your voice for callers you need a boom mic. I do agree that a boom mic is best; however, this product kinda makes that answer sound flippant. Why couldn’t Bose figure out where your mouth is with the multitude of knowledge it has and isolate the sound from it, while subduing the sound from elsewhere? I’m sure there’s a reason, but I’ll just say that it is for this reason that I am still considering whether to return these. I spend quite a bit of time on the phone and having a set of cans pick up so much of the background noise in my environment that I cannot hear, and that is amplified to my callers, is NOT acceptable. While on the plane and in the air, I thought I’d experiment with my QC35 (1st gen). I put them on in noise cancelling mode over the HearPhones and it made not a bit of difference. I was expecting it to be a little bit quieter but I couldn’t tell if it was. So I removed the HearPhones and put on the QC35 set and found that the HearPhones were much quieter, so away with the QC35 - they are now my backup to HearPhones. It was also nice I could bleed in a little of the plane noise when I needed to hear announcements, without having to unplug the HearPhones.

I was pleasantly surprised the quality of product. I can hear and understand TV movies and people talking. For $499.00 it’s beter sound quality then my $4000.00 hearing aids. I definitely recommend to people with hearing loss.

Purchased these after I lost one of my $3,600 hearing aids. These are better!! And way cheaper!! I love that I can control my settings for various environments myself. They are very comfortable. I love that I can recharge hem and not have to buy batteries. They are clearer and I can understand everything anyone is saying. I love that when I answer a phone call I can talk through them. It is Bluetooth so I can use it with various devices. I have nothing negative to say after wearing them for almost a month. Love them and will never buy another ridiculously priced set of hearing aids again!! They stay charged all day while I'm at work. Had no problems going dead. I can't thank Bose enough for making these!! I LOVE them!!!

The Bose HearPhones merge Bose's awesome noise cancelling technology with a mobile app and microphones to augment conversation by amplifying sounds in the human speach range and cancelling background noise. They work great as headphones however the conversation enhancement is good in some situations but not others. Also the unit tends to twist around the neck. Try before you buy.

The noise canceling and sound quality is incredible but the microphone is still subject to wind noise while riding my bike and trying to talk on the phone. The ability to hear is definitely enhanced but It raises the ambient noise of everything around it is well. At a price point of $500 I expected a little bit more.

These work great and my 90 year old mother was using them while her hearing aide was being repaired. They were comfortable. The batter does not last more than eight hours. Would be fantastic to have a longer batter life. App is easy to use for anyone who can use a smartphone.

I ordered a few wireless earphones and these hearphones were by far the best. I'm really hard of hearing but I put these bad boys on and I was shocked. I could hear everything around me, it let me adjust the left and right ear separately the sound was great. The only down side was the price but other then that I would totally recommend this especially for those that are hard of hearing.

My 87-year-old mother in law lives with us. Her hearing has been failing for years. She refuses to spend $5000 on hearing aids. In an effort to give her a better quality of life, I Purchased these Bose. What a gift! After tweaking the earbuds on myself, I put them in her ears. Wonderful! She was able to hear normal conversation between my wife and me. The following day I took her out for a walk and she was able to hear birds and vehicles! My wife and I took mom to the movies and she was able to enjoy the sound! The set up was very easy. Bose even has videos to help changing the earpieces and adjusting the surroundsound settings. When dealing with the elderly it does take a little time to fine-tune this. For us it was highly worth it! And it was 1/10 of the price of hearing aids. I would highly recommend this.

I tried another similar product but had poor results with it. The hearphones work well asn give methe ability to hear people where there's noise in the background and I normally have trouble hearing conversations. I was able to get for a bit less than normal due to a sale and some BB credits I had. $500 for these is a bit much however. But still cheaper than hearing aids.

These are a really nice set of Bluetooth headphones, everything you’d expect from Bose. They are also as good of a hearing aid as I’ve ever tried, though my experience there is limited. The only knocks I have are that the app seems to disconnect from the phone often, not a big deal, and the battery doesn’t last 20 hours. It lasts throughout the workday though, and that makes it so I don’t have to say “what?” 100 times/day any more.

Bought these for my 97 year old mom. She's had less hearing for several years now and now that she has these, she's realizing how much she hadn't been hearing. We're super happy about a better quality of life for her. And us too, the TV doesn't need to be blasting and we don't have to repeat ourselves. Sometimes they pop out of her ears, but that means we just didn't get the angle right, just like with any ear bud.

Purchased this after learning about it from Jane Pauley’s Sunday Morning tv show. One star off for not being able to charge and use at same time, but these hearphones make my life so much more “hearable” and are certainly less $$$$ than a hearing aid.

I am really enjoying having Hearphones. While they aren't cheap, they have a lot of useful features. They linked with my phone & the hearphone app with zero trouble. I especially like them for road trips - can set them so that I can hear the person beside me in addition to whatever I'm streaming over the hearphones themselves. They do a great job of blocking outside noise. I haven't run the batteries to zero, but they definitely last several hours on a charge.

I purchased these for my wife who lost 75% of her hearing due to chemo. When she put them on there was a huge smile on her face. They do an amazing job blocking out background noise and amplifying what you want to hear. The sound quality is better than her $7000 hearing aids. There are two issues with the headphones that will make me return them tomorrow. First, the bluetooth pairing isn't reliable. The will pair with her iphone but then drop after a time. The time they remained connected wasn't consistent and we had to turn them off and then back on to fix it. This is a real irritant but with how good they did we probably would have kept them if this was the only problem. The second problem was a deal killer. After two weeks of using them the battery live went down to a couple of hours. At $500 I can't justify keeping them knowing that the battery life will probably get worse over time. Bose, please fix the battery issues and improve bluetooth. You would have a GREAT product.

These are great for someone that needs a little help hearing. They work great in a public settings being able to focus on the people you are with and not miss out on the conversation. I tried in ear hearing aids but the sound was scratchy and distorted, with these you can adjust the Base and Treble to make the sound more natural. They also work great as headphones with good noise canceling. Can't wait for the Bose in ear hearing aids.

Just drop off box at the UPS store to send them back for an exchange. They really work well and the only reason this is not a 5☆ review is the on/off issues I had with the the pair I purchased. Turning them on was hard enough but getting them turned off was darn near impossible. The first couple of times I thought they were off they weren't and the battery drained and I couldn't use them the next time I wanted. Once I figured out I wasn't getting them turned off the fun really began. It would take 5 to 10 minutes to turn them off. I would push and hold the button only to be told I was connected to my device over and over again. I finally call Boss and they sent a return label to return them and will send me a new pair once they receive the old pair. I hope the new pair works better or I will be returning them to Best Buy for a refund and try something else. I hope I can give a better review once I receive the replacement pair. This was my 9th purchase of a Boss product and the first time I've ever had an issue.
