If you get the QC20, it comes with one control button to answer a call, end a call, start the music or stop the music. The QC20i comes with 3 control buttons (for iOS devices) which performs everything its more generic brother does but the additional 2 buttons perform skip and rewind.

From my research, the model I have is the newest version, with, reportedly, upgraded sound. They are black with blue stripe, but also available in white with blue stripe. The QC-20i is a different color.

Reportedly, the sound has been improved on the newer model. Although the MSRP is $50.00 more for the newer unit, the average selling price is $249.99 and Best Buy will price match. GET THE Extended Warranty, but I am very happy with my pair.
