• My earbuds start seperating between 12 and 24 months of extremely heavy use (12+ hours a day). I always buy the extended warranty and when that happens I walk into the nearest Best Buy and exchange them for a new pair, and buy a new warranty, getting whatever credit is left from the current one.

• I used them nearly everyday around home or office and as a necessity for my frequent travel. Around 18 months, plastic sheathing near noise cancelling unit split. Within 3 months, cord was shot and unit inoperable. I will buy again with warranty, but I’d like to see Bose strengthen the connections around the noise cancelling block, as it puts constant strain on the cord.

• They are very light. The controller and charger would benefit from a slightly longer connector cable.
