You need to stay within approximately 33 feet to your cell phone and if you are not carrying your cell phone some objects can interfere with the reception. Callers have said that the sound quality was great. I've had no problems with reception around our home however if you are traveling you'll find going through an underpass can intermittently cause a signal loss but will recover in a split second, this is the same effect you'll find when using your phone connected to your vehicle.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The mic is very sensitive and picks up surrounding sounds as well. I don't recommend having a phone conversation on a windy day but all noise is suppressed in the ear buds. It does not interfere with music listening.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No cutting out or loud external noise. Just as loud and clear as if talking directly through the mic on the phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Because of the noise cancelling feature the caller also has clear sound when the wearer is speaking. I find they actually aid in talking on a cell phone.
