A:AnswerQuick answer - Yes. They provide some noise cancelling while filling your ears with gentle sounds like white noise, waves, birds chirping, etc. I use mine at say a volume of 4 out of 10. My spouse snores heavily and these allowed me to sleep next to her. Did they completely drown her out - no, but good enough that I was able to balance the volume of the sounds I was playing verse her noises to get to a level where I could sleep. She now has a cpap and is dead quiet and I am so used to the sounds of nature that I use them every night but now at a volume of 2. You won't regret if you try em.
A:AnswerYes. You are correct. Only Bose sounds via the sleep buds app. I did not have a problem with this nor did I see it as a limitation. I get a full nights sleep using them, the app, and the alarm. The distractions of the world are shut out
A:AnswerNo. Bose made the decision that the Sleepbuds will only connect via bluetooth to the Bose Sleep app which will only play from a selection of sounds. These are not for listening to music, answering calls, or for audiobooks. The sole intent is to help people fall asleep.
A:AnswerThe Sleepbuds II is way better. The Sleepbuds II are flatter and more oval-shaped, making them even more comfortable inside your ears. Probably due to the better fitment, passive noise isolation has been significantly improved. Also, when you rub your head on the pillow while lying sideways, there is no more rubbing noise.
The charging mechanism has also been improved. The charging pins and the magnet are no longer on the same row but separated into two, making it easier and faster to position the Sleepbuds correctly when putting them into the charging case. Due to the redesign, I don't think the magnet is going to eventually fall out like they did with the original Sleepbuds.
A:AnswerOne year but poor policy after that. I knew they had problems with the Sleepbuds I and waited for the II. Charging case broke just past warranty meaning the functioning earbuds are worthless. No way to buy a case or have it repaired. Bose's "special offer" after I entered my serial number was for me to buy a refurbished Sleepbuds II at a higher cost than the normal refurb cost. Yuk. I'm a bose fan and was about to buy two speakers but there is enough other competition in most categories. I own eight other bose devices but taking a break.
A:AnswerYou can use the earbuds with no sound. If so, you'll definitely hear a fire or smoke alarm. Bose is concerned that people might miss alarms, so they warn not to play their sounds too loudly.
A:AnswerThere are several on the app when you download it. They also have a library where you can download others, at no extra cost. The sounds are campfire, rain, wind, seaside, etc. There aren't any I don't like.
