Hello, there. Thank you for your question! Yes, the Soundbar 500 was released on September 20, 2018 and is part of our new Smart Home speaker family. We've also released the Soundbar 700, which is more comparable to the SoundTouch 300 in terms of volume output, bass, and simulated surround sound capability. The Cinemate 15 system was engineered as a standalone product and does not currently pair with additional components. If you are looking for a new soundbar for a different room in your house, the Soundbar 500 is perfect for smaller rooms. The Soundbar 700 is great for medium to large rooms. Please try again later.The Bose 500 as well as the 700 were released August this year with the 700 being the replacement for the 300 as the latter does not have Alexa capabilities. All three soundbars like most soundbars have built-in ampliers. Also the three soundbars can use each others sub-woofers and share a common rear surround speaker model. But AFAIK these the 500 and the other models were not designed for the Cinemate series.

I hate to say this but you're better off upgrading your TV, otherwise, you're not getting the most out of the experience. I couldn't find an adaptor from headphone jack to HDMI and if it did exist, I would imagine that it would only be 2-channel stereo. The Bose 500 sound bars have a left, center, and right speakers.
