“Can iPod Classic be used with this dock/ speaker? I need to replace my Bose speaker/ dock. (It is approximately five years old.) I need it to be compatible with my iPod Classic which has my music library on it.”

• This version has a Lightening connector. I don't know if there is a backward compatible adapter.

• I doubt it. this is for the new generation ipods or iphones or ipads. But you can use an AUX wire to just plug it in.

• You might need an adapter, I am not sure. I know you can get an adapter for a couple bucks

• The SoundDock III is not compatible with the iPod Classic. It uses the newer “Lightning” connector.
