• I believe the point of a speaker is for amplified volume. The spot where you plugged in headphones is probably for an auxiliary cord. There for headphones shouldn't work.

• We're glad you asked. There is no headphone jack on the SoundLink Mini, the two jacks are an Auxiliary input and a charging connection.
