“On ear or around ear headphones? My husband wants Bose wireless headphones to wear at the gym etc but I have no idea whether to get him the on-ear ones or the around-ear ones - the price is the same.”

• I have the on ear type. I think the around ear headphones might cut out a bit of the ambient noise (they're not noise canceling), but may be a little uncomfortable while working up a sweat working out. I did notice that the battery life for the on ear type is 15 hours while the around ear battery life is only 7 hours.

• Probably depends upon personal preference. I haven't tried the in-ear, but the over-ear are great. I got them mainly for the gym. I powerlift and bodybuild. A lot of free weights and some machine work. I very seldom need to take them off for whatever lifting movement I'm doing. Stay in place fine on the stationary bike or treadmill when I'm doing cardio. My coach had me get him a pair.

• These tend to fall off of me if I lean forward, go into the store and try them out.... especially for gym use, you might want to think about the in ear option... They do sound really nice though

• I would suggest around the ear for the gym. I have over the ear, the quality is GREAT!!! I hope this helps.

• I prefer on the ear headphones to block out external noise, but they do tend to get sweaty. For a guy, since men tend to sweat more, I would suggest over the ear.

• I tried the around the ear, they're pretty huge compared to the size of my head and I couldn't wear them with glasses. I'm very happy with the on ear.
