QuestionCan these wireless phones be listen to in a plug in A/ V receiver jackCan these wireless headphones be listened to through an older A/V receiver that only has the plug in for the headphone? or is the only way you can listen to them is through Bluetooth connectivity to Bluetooth devices. I am looking for a set of high quality wireless headphones that can do both connect through the regular plug in jack on the front of a A/V receiver and have Bluetooth connectivity for my Bluetooth devices. I have a wired set of studio beats by Dr.Dre love them but looking for a wireless pair so I have freedom to walk around the house in

- Answer Thanks for your question, Des. The SoundLink On-Ear Bluetooth headphones are certainly compatible for wireless playback from connected Bluetooth audio devices, but also include a standard audio cable. The cable uses a standard 1/8" (3.5mm) audio connection so if your receiver uses a larger 1/4" output, a 1/8" to 1/4" adapter may be necessary. Thank you for your interest!

QuestionOn ear or around ear headphones?My husband wants Bose wireless headphones to wear at the gym etc but I have no idea whether to get him the on-ear ones or the around-ear ones - the price is the same.

- Answer I have the on ear type. I think the around ear headphones might cut out a bit of the ambient noise (they're not noise canceling), but may be a little uncomfortable while working up a sweat working out. I did notice that the battery life for the on ear type is 15 hours while the around ear battery life is only 7 hours.

- Answer The answer is going to be dependent on the iPod itself. If the iPod is a newer model with Bluetooth technology, you can certainly enjoy wireless music with these headphones. You can check this by going into Settings and seeing if there is an option to turn Bluetooth on. Otherwise, you can use a wired connection for getting Bose sound through your iPod.

QuestionVoltage 120v or 120v-240vI am making a trip to Australia from US and looking to purchase a set of earphones for travel. I was wondering how I would charge these earphones. Are they 120v or 120v-240v. Would I need to use a Plug Adapter or a converter? Would hate to spend this kind of money and burn them up. Thank you!

- Answer Hi Metak, The SoundLink On-Ear headphones include a USB cable for charging. You can charge the headphones with any USB charger you already have such as a cell phone charger, or you can use a USB port on a computer. So long as your USB charger is rated at 120v-240v there is no concern. Thanks!

- Answer Hi Skip, The SoundLink On-Ear headphones use the A2DP Bluetooth profile for wireless stereo audio streaming from devices such as smartphones, tablets and computers. You could connect the headphones to a headphone output or analog audio output however via audio cable. Thank you.

- Answer yes but the volume control turns up and down the volume of just the headphones and not media volume of the device. So you have to make sure the device volume is all the way up so you have full range of volume of the headphones

QuestionOver the ear vs on the ear optionsDoes this unit allow you to link up to multiple devices at the same time (Ipad and smartphone) like the over-the-ear unit?

- Answer Yes. I link to my iPhone and iPad at the same time. Once paired with both, all you have to do is put the headset on and turn them on. It will tell you how much battery is left and then tell you which two devices you are connected to. If those are the only two devices you pair the headset with, it will automatically connect it to both as long as you are in the range of both.

- Answer Great Question! The audio cable provided as a back-up for the SoundLink On-ear headphones is for music listening only. The microphone and call functions of the headset are implemented over Bluetooth via the Hands-Free Profile (HFP). This means that the headset needs to be powered up and connected to your phone via Bluetooth to be used on calls. Thank you.

QuestionWill these connect to Bluetooth capable Samsung TVs?The sound menu on my Samsung TV (4K UHD don't have the model number handy) gives me the ability to connect Bluetooth headphones, but it only mentions Samsung headphones. Will it discover the Bose SoundLink Wireless Around-Ear Headphones II or will I need an adapter? The user manual doesn't provide much help on this and I've seen YouTube videos describing how to access the secret menu on the TV to enable the capability however, it seems to me this step shouldn't be necessary. For what it's worth, the TV will not discover my Bose SoundLink Mini, as I thought it might.

- Answer When connecting these headphones to a source device, such as a TV, that device will usually determine the output volume. If your TV has separate volume controls for the Built-in speaker vs the headphone or bluetooth output, this may be possible. Otherwise it may not be. - Answer Hello RJ. Great question. The Bose SoundLink OE headphones will connect with any Bluetooth audio device so as long as the car's system has the ability to broadcast audio via Bluetooth, he should be able to listen to music that way. However, doing so will most likely mute the audio from the speakers once the headphones are connected by Bluetooth. Thanks!
