• I have an iPhone 8 Plus and an Apple Watch Series 3, once I connected my headphones to my phone, they automatically were available to choose from as a source from my watch. I'm not sure if this is helpful but it may be the same case with your Samsung Gear.

• On the left earbud, there is a pairing button. Press that to put the buds in pairing and then go to the connection settings on your gear to connect the buds to it
