You can use this with your iPad. I use my iPad most of the time. There is no "Goto to sleep mode" yet according to the Bose Forums, but the developers say it is coming soon. I have the SmartThings home automation system which I paired with my Bose SoundTouch System (I own SoundTouch SA-5, 10 and 20). Samsung SmartThings will turn off my Bose SoundTouch system at night.

If there is no audio playing and there has been no interaction with the system by the user, the system will turn off automatically after 20 minutes. Any incoming audio or system interaction within these periods will prevent the system from turning itself off. Thanks!
