A:AnswerI purchased this believing it also had a battery system. It did not. My Bad. It is dependent on a source to send it signal. It is a Bluetooth speaker. There is an APP that Bose created for it that should work on Apple and Android systems. I could not get it to work on my Android so I cannot tell you of its limitations. As a Bluetooth speaker it has excellent sound.

The SoundTouch app can be setup on iOS, Android, Mac or Windows. Once setup, you can assign stations from Pandora, iHeartRadio, or other sources to the 1-6 preset buttons on the top of the system. These presets can then be used by the remote or buttons directly without having to open the app each time you want to use them. You can also overwrite the presets with new ones at any time that you would like to do this.

Whilst the connection of devices depends on the turntable you are using, there are 2 different ways you may be able to connect this.
The SoundTouch 10 system has an AUX input, meaning that if your turntable has an AUX output you could connect it to this system that way.
Alternatively, if your turntable acts as a Bluetooth transmitter, then you could connect this to the SoundTouch 10 through Bluetooth instead, and play to the system this way.
We would recommend checking this on the turntable to see if you have either of these options available to you first before committing to a purchase!

A:AnswerIt will connect via WiFi. Watch for minimal delay from tv sound to speaker. When they talk....your speaker may be a second begin. It did with blue tooth so we went to the coax input wiring to speaker. No delay.

The SoundTouch 10 is engineered to be used as an in-home WiFi and Bluetooth speaker and has a 120V power supply built into the speaker itself, so it won't work with a standard 12V car outlet. If you are looking for something portable with Bluetooth connectivity that you can charge in your car I would recommend the SoundLink Revolve +, which will have about the same audio performance as the SoundTouch 10 and can be charged using a USB cable and USB car charger (not included).
