Hello Matt, the SoundTouch 20 and 30 systems are identical in function, the difference is in power. The 20 incorporates two built in speakers while the 30 has three speakers with one dedicated specifically to the lower notes. We think you'll be impressed with either but the 30 is definitely a more impactful system that will play significantly louder than the 20. Thanks for the question and have a great day!
