Yes, I play my music outside all the time.

You can if you have a power outlet outside, as it's not cordless. Also, it's not built for the outdoors, so I'm not sure it would stand up to any kind of moisture/condensation or even dirt flying around. Sound-wise, though, it should carry just fine.
