“I want a speaker for my room this Christmas and I'm stuck between the Sonos Play 5 (newer version) and the Bose soundtouch 30. which speaker would be better for music genres such as rap and or EDM with a lot of bass? I prefer a speaker with more bass.”

for distinguished ears, BOSE has better sound

bose has definitely more bass than the sonos hands down though the sonos can get a bit louder

I heard both, side by side at Best Buy and the Bose has definitely the better sound quality

I have the Bose SoundTouch but listened to both the Bose and the Sonos Play 5 in the store. I think the Bose has the better bass. The Bose also offers Bluetooth streaming which is a major plus.
