I just purchased the sound bar yesterday and had the same problem and while I can not remember the exact steps just call 1-800-COMCAST and a tech will talk you thru the steps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I used my TV remote to cut off my TV sound. The Bose remote is used to control:TV, Comcast and sound bar I occasionally have to use one of the other remotes but I did not have trouble linking the Bose remote to the other devices
