• Hello, and thanks for taking the time to ask a question about the SoundTouch 300 Soundbar! The Alexa part of this system is entirely optional, and is an option you can set up should you want to do so. You can still control the system with the remote control or SoundTouch app without this. In order to use the Voice-commands with this system, this does need to be setup on Alexa, and have the features enabled to allow you to do this. We hope this answers your question!

• We currently do not have Alexa hooked up in our home and use this speaker both for the TV and independently as a Bluetooth speaker. No Alexa connection
