I addressed this in the review I just posted. The SoundTouch 300 has an 18 minute standby. If the sound bar receives no audio signal for 18 minutes it goes into standby mode. Any devices that you have connected to it via ARC will also be shut off. Bose has this ignored this issue for well over a year and recently indicated they would be addressing it in the next major firmware release which who knows will be when.

You can certainly toggle the Auto-off setting through the SoundTouch app by accessing "Advanced Setup" in Speaker Details. Hope this helps! Best Regards.
