“My bose surround speakers won't play speech but will play sound from the surrounding. It used to work perfectly before but suddenly stopped. How can I hear the speech in the surround speakers? The speech is only coming thru the sound bar for now.”

The sound bar is likely set as your ‘center’ channel in a 5,6,or Seven speaker surround setup. When your receiver is set to 5 channel surround, you have two front speakers and two rear speakers with a speaker usually centered behind under or above the viewing area and the center channel will heavily provide dialogue.
